Wilderness win dutch BBC First brief
BBC Studios has appointed Wilderness to promote its BBC First channel in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The paid TV channel, which launched in the Netherlands in 2015, is looking to grow its audience via social media.
London and Amsterdam-based Wilderness will be managing all social channels, with Facebook as a central hub; interacting with fans, and online audiences and promoting major shows, with a focus on British crime, thrillers, and drama.
The agency, which works across entertainment brands including HBO, Sky, NBC Universal, Discovery Networks, and more, was appointed following a competitive pitch and will work on both organic and paid social.
Jamie Maple, Strategy Director, Wilderness, added:
“Being able to promote great TV to passionate fans is a brief that any agency would relish. British TV has a reputation for quality, and we want to not only show people the breadth of what’s available but be right there with them as they discover new and addictive shows.
Facebook is a great platform for this – allowing us to reach an engaged audience and create new and exciting ways of showcasing long-form content.
The win means we’ll be further growing our Amsterdam team, which has grown exponentially in our first year of business”
